This green map is being made by NYU Tourism Planning and Policy students as a class project in the Fall 2008. The emphasis is on the importance of inventorying local resources for their natural and cultural resources and as a way to promote sustainability.
The students selected seven different stops along the # 7 Subway line which is also known as the International Express because of the richness of the cultures that live adjacent to the subway stops. It is hoped that future classes will inventory all subway stops along the # 7 train so any person can discover the uniqueness of NYC.
