Declaración de Intención

We are currently developing an interactive, online map through the new Open Green Map resource. to provide information on the useful and diverse resources found within the greater Burlington area, while depicting an accurate representation of Burlington's unique character. The map will serve the general public, as well as those with a deeper focus in permaculture and the local environment. With time and the help from the community, more sites, information, and media will appear on the map and more connections will be made.

A community mapping project will also generate citizen participation for the purpose of environmental planning for Burlington. Our vision is of a vibrant, productive Burlington in which community development promotes human interaction, food producing residential gardens and streetscapes supplant suburban lawns, and the abundance of social, educational, economic, and ecological services our community produces helps to regenerate other degraded landscapes.
