The Lynbrook High School Research Program enables students to enter into the INTEL Science Talent Search in their senior year of high school. The creation of this green map will be a pivotal part of my INTEL project, to be entered into the 2009 competition.

Statement of Purpose

This Green Map will be created as a part of an INTEL Science Talent Search project, which is in the process of being developed. The map making group will consist of high school student volunteers, in order to analyze the effects of map making on students' attitudes towards the environment. My hypothesis is that, by helping to create a Green Map of their community, students will develop a more personal investment in the environment.
